Tambry encourages a pace of conversing and writing to better understand patterns set up in early childhood and often populated lifelong without conscious thought. She brings new meaning to listening! She gives a quality forum, plentiful pauses, along with powerful music. And how often does someone truly inquire about your wellbeing. With Tambry’s voice in my heart I am hearing the stories I have told myself over the years with a new narrative. Thanks to Tambry I am working to apply radical acceptance and compassion and slow my reactivity with more love for myself and anyone within my scope. It’s a mighty shift to honor my ever-present, little girl and my 54-year-old self at once! I highly recommend time spent with Tambry. She is using her significant talent, well-honed leadership skills and authentic self to support others. Find her. – LS

Being able to step outside my story and see it objectively was tremendous. The insight about how to bring some change, peace, vision and practical application to my life offered me the opportunity for less stress, improved communication with others and clarity to move forward.– TH

When I heard Tambry speak I thought, ‘I want to feel like her and be confident to overcome the hold my past abuse has on me.’ It took courage to begin looking at my story but I came out feeling powerful. Looking at the bad, grieving the pain and putting it into perspective has freed me. I didn’t know how much lighter I would feel. It has taken until I was 60 to find absolution, no little girl should carry this guilt and pain throughout her life.– RL

As a childhood sexual and emotional abuse survivor I have lived in a state of questioning my value, contributions and how to appropriately advocate for myself. I stumbled on this retreat during a season of feeling displaced, voiceless, undervalued by others and worst of all myself. In the retreat I encountered a loving and safe space to share my story and help others with their journeys. In a short period of time, our group transformed from strangers into sisters. The retreat was intense introspective work that helped transform us for the next phases of our life. Weeks later I felt the true impact. I found myself rejuvenated and better able to understand how to prioritize myself and my needs. I noticed a shedding of toxic thinking and an unwillingness to be around unhealthy patterns.– AD

It has been extremely important in my life to work through the feelings and effects of the trauma I experienced. This experience allowed me the opportunity to begin to move forward into the next chapter of my life. Letting go and moving on does not negate what happened. It will always be a chapter in my life but does not have to be the last chapter. I am now able to see a path into the future and have concrete steps to take to begin to move forward.– DC

This approach to healing is revolutionary in how it helps a person understand her actions and reactions about her personal experience. It is one part healing wounds and another part dealing with the anger that comes along with sexual assault. Let us not forget the sadness and anger that ensues after one is attacked, groped, or even raped. Yet, this retreat helped me get a grip on my feelings to not let the fear and anger control my life or form a barrier between me and all Humanity. Above it all, we can be thrivers in life!!!– BN

We take Title IX very seriously at Lenoir Rhyne University and when we educate the student athletes about it, we want it to be more than just a checking off of a box. It is important that they understand how critical it is. Tambry did an excellent job using her personal story and examples to bring home the messages we have been seeking to instill – from awareness to intervention and support – our student athletes are now more prepared about and educated in sexual violence prevention. Her talk started great dialogue within our campus at various levels.– MF

Tambry serves as a humble guide, taking women on the powerful journey toward growth, freedom and empowerment. She has helped so many realize that it is never too late to write a new “Going-Forward” story. If you’re seeking a way to reclaim your life and change from surviving to thriving, Tambry’s story is worth a listen.– KA

Tambry’s powerful talk around #metoo enabled women to share the feelings associated with sexual abuse and questions they have. As she opened herself up to let others look inside, her story and visuals allowed others to see themselves in her and want the strength to do the healing work themselves. I am thankful she is willing to share herself and believe that this conversation will help so many survivors feel empowered to become thrivers.– KL

It is out of our own woundedness – when it has been acknowledged and our healing work done – that we can walk with others who have been wounded as well. Tambry is a compassionate and experienced guide for leading you through your process of healing. It is my hope that survivors will seize the opportunity to hear Tambry speak and engage her to help them to claim a full, life-giving story.– NMC

As I listened to Tambry, I was struck by how much her story was my story. She has an impactful way of sharing with her heart. She was born to do this work.– ST
